What Ethanol Means to Our Community 

According to economist Dr. Donis Petersan of the Nebraska Public Power District, a 100 million gallon per year ethanol plant results in:

·         Expansion of the local economic base by $233 million per year

·         50 direct jobs plus 101 indirect jobs throughout the area

·         Household incomes raised by $7.9 million annually

·         Tax revenues of $3.2 million annually

According to the Renewable Fuels Association, an average 100-million gallon per year facility will:

·         Add $367 million to the local Gross Domestic Product (GDP) through goods and services bought and sold

·         Help create more than 2,400 new jobs across all sectors of the economy - those include more than 1,300 in the agricultural sector
